About Platipus Skateboards

Platipusskateboards are made in Southern california and printed by me in Monterey. The wood is the best I’ve found, lots of concave, steep tail, and very good looking too.

Platipuss was started when I found a scrap of film on the floor of Arcade Skateboards, where I worked as a screen printer. Every paycheck I would get blank boards to print on. I drew a bird on the film I had found. 9 years later it’s the same concept. I get a box of boards every month, I draw on the films, and print boards for fun and profit.
Currently we are working on an epic skatepark project on our family land…so you can see where the money goes from Platipuss. If anybody would like to make a contribution to the concrete fund they would be greatly appreciated as we are building one bag of concrete at a time, actually each section is about 50-100 bags.
I hope that that people will be inspired by the project and take matters in their own hands and start something in their own town. The guys at Advance (in Japan) have done just that and are expanding their parking lot into skate heaven.
